What I Wore

Stripes, Leather Up

Happy Friday fashionistas! Christmas is right around the corner! Can you just feel the presence of it? I know all if not most of you can’t wait to spend it with your love ones and I am sure most of you finished your Christmas shopping. Yes, you all did, let’s stay positive here shall we? LOL. This was Thursday’s OOTN look and as you can see it’s pretty edgy. The statement pieces were the faux leather jacket (Charlotte Russe), the striped top (Hautelook) and the scarf (Armani Exchange). Although, the stripe shirt is not of bold colors, it brightened the look which is why I also paired the color scarf to add more pops of color. I fell in love with this top because of the distinctive collar and the angular direction of the stripes. I finally bought a leather jacket and I wanted one for so long cause it a staple that you can really use to switch your look up. I loved the texture and placements of the zippers (behind the forearm).

Quick story:

I went to an event called “Dolled Up” with a friend. I don’t want to bash anyone but the event was disappointing. It wasn’t what I expected. I was more expecting it be like the Temptu event at the Saks store that I spoke about in a few posts back. Dolled up was advertised to be a makeup event. When I arrived there, I saw three vendors selling fashion jewelry, Mary Kay and another vendor selling bakery. There was supposed to be complimentary champagne, free goodies bags for the first 20 registered attendees of the event and free makeovers and none of that was present. The organizing and management of the festivities that were to take place there out of line. So we ended up leaving the event early. Thank you for reading and stay unique!
