(TGIT) Thank goodness it’s Thursday! It’s one of my favorite days of the week…I’m not sure why though -_- (scratches head). Anyways I suddenly decided to do a “once a week” editor’s street style favorites post, where I would find various street style from all over the world. The first set of favorites are from one of my favorite countries in the world…Japan. I selected a few looks from Tokyo Fashion Week.
If you are going to work with a basic color palette, you just have to elevate it with a statement jacket and accessories that make it pop.
I don’t think I have ever seen a satchel with over-sized safety pins but hey, it works. It gives an unique and unusual edginess to the bag.
I love a piece that emulates something that came from a painted portrait. Artful pieces add a lot of pop, color and personality to one’s look.
I am not sure about the hat, but this monochromatic attire is definitely a dynamic look of modern cyberpunk.
Another punk type (on right) with intricate aesthetics that reflects pure edginess.
I love the placement of colors, with the intent to create a balance. Starting and ending with tonal colors and designated bold colors in the middle with a pop of black.
Well that’s it for this week’s editor’s street style favorites. Next week I will seek out more styles around the world to share with you. Until then, thank you for reading and enjoy your Thursday!
