Men’s New York Fashion Week was a four-day event and a first of it’s kind. There were 40 plus designers including established and emerging. Contrary to the women’s fashion shows, Men’s fashion week had definite diversity. Different ethnicities, wider age range and models of color were prominent in this showcase. This greatly highlights the fact that in women’s fashion, experimenting is very limited in the casting department and that the pressure of conformity weighs heavily more on women than men. Men’s trends widely ranged from monochromatic palettes, prints, to sandals and relaxed styles for the “modern man”. A matter of fact, let’s take a look at a few designers that showcased their Spring/Summer 2016 collections during Fashion Week Men’s.
Polo Ralph Lauren
Perry Ellis
Michael Kors
Michael Bastien
