Now that we are at the beginning of New York Fashion Week for women’s, it’s about that time NYFW Men’s wrap up. I compiled a few looks from three designers over the course of Men’s Fashion Week for F/W 2017. Each designers’ collections are unique, not one in the same and convey a message that is highlighting within the looks.
Steve Aoki x Dim Mak Collection FW17
This collection reflected influences of William S. Burroughs and the Beats Generation’s that they had on punk era in the 1970s. The collaboration allowed Steve Aoki to share his ideas, passions, and lifestyle at Fashion Week. He also worked with David Choe, a figure painter, using his artwork throughout the collection.
You As New York Menswear FW17
Tony Lui, founder of You As Menswear showcased his collection during Fashion Week Men’s. The collection had a 40s and 60s appeal but knocks up styling elements of the 80s and 90s. His brand defines his apparel aspirations and accessibility. Cool, calm and collected.
Grungy Gentlemen FW17
Jace Lipstein, founder of Grungy Gentlemen showcased his FW17 collection during Fashion Week. It’s an upscale sportswear, combing athleticism and high fashion, fusing with elements of Hip Hop. Grungy Gentlemen collaboration with a series of other brands for their collection. The Knicks, New York Rangers, Timberland, Mitchell and Ness and others.
