On September 6th, the Nolcha Shows at New York Fashion Week kicked off with ACID NYC Spring/Summer 2019, a women’s and menswear brand known for a fearless approach to design, offering limited edition prints. The prints are unique and vibrant that can be worn from day to evening. The collection of wearable art is inspired by the hidden beauty of our surroundings and focuses on raw materials. If you aren’t familiar with the Nolcha Shows, there is always next season. Nolcha shows is a go-to-launch platform for indie brands, offering a turnkey solution for prominent positioning during NYFW. ACID NYC
Each piece denoted a unique personality of its own but maintain the cohesiveness of the collection. ACID NYC is known for their eccentrics. “In your face” bold prints and colors, a play on various structuring; from asymmetrical necklines, flowing fluidity and well-conforming fits. I love the duality of different fabrics meshed together to create comfort, versatility and timeless design.
In between shows guests also had the opportunity to partake in the Clear Eyes® #MyShiningMoment campaign by having their custom eye-portrait taken by photographer Bridges Aderhold. Clear Eyes® spokesperson, Vanessa Williams, addressed the crowd ahead of the runway to celebrate the independent designers and one of many “shining moments” in their careers, as well as the brand’s partnership with Dress For Success®, which brought a select group of women to New York City to receive the full New York Fashion Week experience in celebration of their achievements.
