An Urbane Overcast

Hello fashion lovies! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This weekend I went to a fashion show at the Hudson River Cafe in celebration of “International Women’s Day”. In honest truth, I have never heard of it…I know! I did not know there was a commemoration of women’s day. Well I am very content there is a day catered to women where we are shown respect, appreciation and love to a celebration for our economic, political, and social achievements. We have come a long way.

Spring is around the corner and the weather is getting warmer, little by little, so I decided to whip out a spring/summer staple layered over leggings. I had these lovely bright shorts for several years but never worn them. The shorts (Casual Linen Shorts) were pretty loose and baggy on me but I wanted to try a different look from just always wearing shorts that conform to my figure. Since my outfit had mostly neutral tones, I needed a pop of color or I would have been simply bored with this look. I love this graphic top (Graphic Tee) with the architectural design but what makes it more fun of a shirt is the cut in the back, which you will just have to wait to see in another outfit post. Boo hoo and you can never go wrong with a blazer (Light Grey Blazer) and a fedora hat (Lazy River Straw Fedora) for that more structured and sharp aspect. Then I added my leopard booties (Black & White Leopard Platform Booties)  to spice up the look. Rawr!. It’s simple but so chic! Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week!
