Swimsuit Edition: Summer Bare Front

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a splendid weekend! Last Sunday, I attended a nice little assumed “pool or beach party” with a group of friends at the Gansevoort Park Rooftop Hotel only to come to an arranged disappointment. When RSVP for the event, little did we know, it only allowed limited access; to the rooftop but not to the pool. The pool were only for guests of the hotel. Who’s fault was that? It should have been clearly stated on the flyer and since it was not, they should have honored it. The audacity, but we made the best of it and had our own fun. I’ll admit, I felt I wore my bikini for nothing…pool wise…but not photo-wise.

This is my second swimsuit and first time going with the mix and match look. I have a nice white one but the bottoms are too tight, which was a shame because I really wanted to wear it. I also own a sporty one piece which is catered to the beach because I enjoy the adrenaline of getting washed up on shore like a dead fish. It is imperative (based on past experiences) that some of the different parts of the human body stay in place while getting immensely impacted by a monstrous wave. 😀 Good times…

I almost had all of my summer essentials except for a proper beach tote bag. I layered my H&M Red Wine bikini top with a Forever 21 plaid button down shirt to compliment it. Then paired them with Foxy Lady high waist shorts and Aldo neutral hue toned sandals to compliment my pedicure. Since I don’t possess a beach tote bag as of yet, this Guess satchel bagwas the next best thing because of the yellow accents on the bag which gave it a summer look. For accessories, I wore my squared Tommy Hilfiger cool blue sunglasses, Charlotte Russe fedora hat and one of my favorite accessories; Nasty Gal body chain! I always wanted to wear a body chain with a swimsuit. Sorry but the H&M Polka Dot bikini bottom will not be shown worn this time around.:P Thank you for reading and happy summer styling!
