Fashion Week Recap: Mischka Velasco

On Wednesday, February 10th, Mischka Velasco runway was held at the Top fo the Garden venue during fashion week. The show started with an unusual perk, not what you normally would see in fashion shows. A mysterious man in a (what you could mistaken for as mexican wrestler) mask. I guess it was setting the mood and scene for the runway show as he implicitly reciting a one-sided dialogue with the musicians. Within Velasco’s design, a manifestation of her concept “string theory” with many of her garments featuring an array of multi-colored embroidered strings playfully interlaced into each runway look making one uniquely different from the next. There were a multitude of colors ranging from black, gray, crimson, camel, electric blue, scarlet, ivory, two toned and variety of fabrics; cashmere, wool, silk and even dual fabrics. Garments showed intricate cuts, angles and details. Truly ,a modernity design in innovation and work of art. Thank you for reading and enjoy! xoxo
