Spring Cleaning the Bright & Bold

Hello everyone! Happy weekend vibes on this beautiful rainy day in New York.  But that won’t stop me from putting out bright energy.  If you read my last post, as you may remember I was doing some “Spring cleaning” looks I didn’t get a chance to post before.  So here is another look which is quite bright and bold I want to share with you and yes, with my favorite black and white wool coat once again!

Bright & Bold

If you read my blog, you know I love to wear bright colors and am not afraid to layer and wear prints/patterns. Also including playing around with different textures. There are certain colors I love to pair together. For instance, royal blue and mustard yellow or just like in this post, a berry red with yellow. There is just something about these pairs that just speak to me. So I started with my mustard yellow sweater which is still perfect for the Spring because it’s not too heavy. I paired it with a fun, unique pair of checkered pants and balanced it back out with a solid pair of velvet booties. Then for textured, I layered the look with my textured wool coat which also matched the pants color-wise. For accessories, used a matching berry red bag and a solid black hat.

I kept the jewelry nice and dainty to not overpower the balance of the look. Since the outfit is already a bit eccentric but bold there was no need to wear statement pieces. But layering of dainty necklaces adds a certain dimension to the look.

You can never go wrong with chunky velvet booties!

Ending the day watching the sunset…
