A Look Contrasting Colors of Dumbo

Hello, my fashion lovies!  Oh, how I missed you all! This weekend is coming along great so far. Since, yesterday Thursday, the weather has been perfect and it will be continuing into the weekend until it hits Father’s Day. Sunday will be a deplorable hot day so therefore I will be relaxing at home with my dad. I was hoping to spend Saturday in the Hamptons but I don’t think it will happen. (Sighs) Just will have to wait another day. On the other hand, let’s take a look at an inspired Dumbo look.

Dumbo

I love to mix palettes of bold colors with neutral tones. Which is why I thought Dumbo was the perfect place to shoot this look. Bold colors such as the red, yellow and perhaps the white to represent the energetic parts of Dumbo. Following the neutrals tones such the blue and black representing the understated parts to create a perfect contrast.  I wore a basic long sleeve t-shirt layered with a textured fire-engine red blazer. The black shirt was Heattech so it came very much in handy when the temperature started to drop. I love wearing my girlfriend jeans and wear it every chance I get. I love the distressed detail on the legs and has just the perfect amount of rips without being overbearing. Then, I added a mustard bag to compliment the jacket and a pair of white ankle booties to bring a balance between the bold and neutral colors. To top off my look, I threw on some aviators for that cool factor.  Fun and edgy but well put together looks are so enjoyable to wear and you can never go wrong with this option.

I hope you liked this week’s Dumbo inspired look. It was one of my favorite outfits and I had a lot of fun shooting it. You can say it looks simple but at the same time, it isn’t. Have you ever had a Dumbo inspired look? Comment below!  Until next time, Happy Styling!
